Back in Action

We will be back in action this weekend at Manzanita Speedway. September 27th we will be on Manzy's short track racing with the ASCS boys. We are going to try and get out in the sprinter at least one other time before the Western World Championships on November 6th, 7th and 8th.

Getting the micro operation back on its feet is another thing on our agenda. We have decided that we will take two cars out and participate in the Wayne Keizer Memorial on November 20th,21st and 22nd. Ken Caskey Sr. will be the pilot of the 10 car for a second consecutive year. Ronnie Smith out of Peralta New Mexico will be piloting the 00 car this year in his debut at the Keizer.

If you or your business is interested in sponsoring this team during these prestigious races please contact us. We would be happy to have you aboard.

We will be in the shop trying to get at least one of our hot rods into racing form tonight. The sprint car is the main focus after supper of course (gotta feed the crew). There is a ton of work that still needs to be done.... so really no promises on racing tomorrow night. Manzy's short track is the place to be for NAPA'S fan appreciation night. Manzanita is offering big discounts on family ticket packages. For details click on "read more". Thank you for supporting SLIDE JOB RACING. Go out and support your local dirt track this weekend.

We'll see if we can get the car owner to snap a couple of shots with her fancy dancy camera for us. This photo will have to do until we make it out to the track and get some better ones. It sure is nice having our colors on the car.

The next few weeks

Monday, 14 July 2008
The Slide Job Racing Team is taking a break from the heat. We are taking the next 3-5 weeks off from racing in order to get things back in order with our race cars and take a trip up north with the family for some cooler weather. We added another micro that was purchased as a roller to the stables. We will be dropping a new motor in it as well as finishing up on the team push truck during this time off. We will be tearing down the sprinter to see if we have fatigued any parts and see that they are replaced. A new coat of paint is likely as well. Thank you for interest in SLIDE JOB RACING and we will see you at the track in a few weeks.

08/19/2008

We are deeply saddened that LeRoi Moore, saxophonist and founding member of Dave Matthews Band, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 2008, at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles from sudden complications stemming from his June ATV accident on his farm near Charlottesville, Virginia. LeRoi had recently returned to his Los Angeles home to begin an intensive physical rehabilitation program.

This really has nothing to do with

our race team... but we are huge DMB

fans none the less. Leroi Moore will be missed. Godspeed.

O God, You gave us a son, and in Your wisdom and love have called him home to You before us. Please listen to our humble prayer: pardon his sins and faults, and grant that we may be reunited safely in Your Presence. Through Your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ, we beg this of You. Amen.
