The SLIDE JOB RACING team had a pretty good weekend by anybody's standards. The silver 00 Driven by Ken Caskey won the first heat of the night out of his back row starting spot. As for the black 10 team car, it was driven by SLIDE JOB RACING's good buddy out of Albuquerque N.M. Ronnie Smith. Ronnie also won his heat race out of his back row starting posistion.
Heat 1 had the #00 of Phoenix, Arizona’s Ken Caskey take the win over last weeks Main Event winner #19X Jordan Mattson with the #5 of the very fast rookie Jeremy Schofield taking home the show spot. Heat 2 saw Los Lunas driver Ronnie Smith in the Slide Job Racing car from Phoenix take the win over young Pagosa Springs driver #17 D. J. Snyder with the #7H of Jerry Higginbotham coming home in 3rd. The Main Event saw the #72 of Mike Brewer in the Bruce Hosea car jump out to the lead for several laps before being chased down by the cars of Mattson, Caskey and Smith. Brewer was able to hang on to the #2 spot (with his really wide race car) until late in the race when he eventually faded to a very respectable 4th place finish. In the end Mattson took his second win in as many races over Caskey, Smith, Brewer and the #66 of the Senior Citizen in this division Lonnie Saiz doing a great job bringing his car home 5th after running with the leaders for many laps. We will be back in action next weekend. Thank you for your support. Mini-Sprints Main Event Top5 #19X Jordan Mattson - Making a habit of winning, soon to be in a full sized sprint #00 Ken Caskey - Arizona driver always a threat to win #10 Ronnie Smith - Great job in the Slide Job Racing car out of Arizona #72 Mike Brewer - Driving the Bruce Hosea car ran in 2nd most of the race #66 Lonnie Saiz - Older driver stayed in the hunt to the end
