As many of you can understand, SLIDE JOB RACING has been neglected for the past month. With the passing of our son we have had very little interest in our race team. With the help of a whole bunch of friends and family we will be having a memorial race in Kole's honor. The Owners and Managment of Manzy have truly blessed us by allowing us to have a night to honor our son. May 3rd, 2008 will be a night for Kole. ASCS 360 sprint cars along with AMSA Mini Sprints, AMMA Modiified Midgets and the AMRA Midgets will be on the card. MANZANITA SPEEDWAY in Phoenix Arizona has been a place that our family has been attending since the early 70's... So what better place to do such an event. Please come out and join us!
A Night In Memory Memory of Kole Caskey
by Linda Sweeney Greetings There is always talk about how the racing community comes together as a family when one of their own is in their time of need. The Caskey family tragically lost their son, Kole, on March 3, 2008. Ken and Andrea Caskey have been heavily involved in racing and supportive of the racing community; they are working to set up donations in Kole’s name. Manzanita Speedway will be hosting a night in memory of Kole Caskey on May 3rd, 2008. On this night we will have an autograph session where the Caskey’s will hand out over 400 checkered flags to the fans; we will be holding a raffle, 50/50, silent and live auction. All the proceeds will be split between the Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the Drivers’ Fund of Arizona in his memory. Also we will be doing a stuffed animal drive between now and May 10th to donate to Phoenix Children’s Hospital in memory of Kole Caskey. We are asking all racing teams and the community to come together and "Bear it". Their wish will bring many children joy in a very troubled time in their life. The hospital uses these stuffed animals to help calm the children when they are in for treatments, surgeries, etc. We are accepting new or gently used.
We are currently collecting any items and donations for this noble cause. Anything that you can donate would be greatly appreciated. Please help us in showing your support of the Caskey Family in a celebration of their son’s life and his passion for racing.
Driver Fund of Arizona is a 501 c (3) non-profit organization, 100% of the collected funds to go to help those in need. If you have any questions or would like to help please contact Allyson Morgan at 602-695-7392 or via email at
