| Slide Job Racing is dusting off the 360 sprinter in order to go out and run the short track race at the historical Manzanita Speedway this weekend. This is Manzy's last short track race before it closes it's doors. That's right..... Manzy has been sold and will soon be a parking lot to some crane equipment. This Saturday night is the last night that non wing sprint cars take to the short track. We have the number 10 micro and the 00 360 sprint car ready and loaded for the races. Come on out and enjoy the show with us. April 11th is the the last day that Manzanita will be hosting races.... and we will be there with an army of cars. Ken Caskey will suit up to take on one of the busiest nights that anyone can do in dirt track racing. Jumping from the micro to the midget and then into the sprint car on the 1/2 mile is going to be a huge undertaking. Not to our knowledge has anyone ever done this before. Racing all three open-wheel divisions in one night. In addition to the cars that Ken will be taking, his father Ken Sr. will be driving the teams other micro. Senior raced the stock car ranks in the late 70's and early 80's and really is the reason we got into racing to begin with. We at Slide Job Racing figured it would be a nice gesture to get him into a seat for the last race at the track. We hope he enjoys himself. Make sure you come out and say good-bye to one of the most famous tracks in the world on April 11th. Micro's and Midgets on the short track and 360 Sprint cars on the 1/2 mile. We will be hanging out after the races sharing stories and drinking beers until wee hours of the morning. Thanks for your interest in SLIDE JOB RACING. GOD Bless | |
