Saturday, January 5th 2008 With overcast skies and a high temperature of 59 degrees we got in some good ole fashioned day racing. SLIDE JOB RACING headed to Speedworld Speedway to get a run in on the 1/4 mile. We got in one hot lap session and figured it would be better to miss the second session and make a necessary gear change.
We started on the inside of the second row in the first heat race. At the drop of the green it was stand on the gas and go. We got along side the pole sitter going into turn one and made the pass coming out of turn two. After we took the lead we never looked back. Heat number two lined us up on the outside of row number one. The pole sitter got a pretty "lazy" start at the drop of the green. The double zero got a good start and led the race from flag to flag. The main event lined us up on average finishes... so that put the double zero on the pole. Once again at the drop of the green flag the blue 00 machine took off and never looked back. A clean sweep was nice to get after all of the woes we encountered in Tulsa. Thank You goes out to Larry (Larry's Wallet) for coming out and giving a helping hand. Another Thanks goes out the Steve and Joe from the race track.....Thanks for letting us come out and have fun on your race track guys! We will be back in action on Jauary 19th at Speedworld Speedway |
